OPTIMAT® for Pultrusion
Technical Fibre Products offers a unique range products specifically for the pultrusion process.

As gel coats cannot be used in dynamic processes such as pultrusion, surfacing veils are employed to give:
High quality surface finish
Resin rich surface layer
Reduced pulling forces and increased pulling speeds
Reduced die wear

Our unique process produces veils and mats with excellent fibre distribution and localised basis weight control with no light or heavy patches. Benefits to pultruded profiles include:
Even surface coverage
Close control of thickness of resin rich layer
Even, consistent protection against UV degradation and weathering
Reduced incidence of fibre prominence
Even resin wet-out with no dry spots


Our wet-laid, short fibre chemically bonded fabrication process gives a veil with:

Good dimensional stability and resistance to necking
