| Tecnofire® is used within the composite structure providing a thin surface layer with low weight penalty. In the event of a fire, Tecnofire® swells to provide a thick insulating char which protects the underlying composite structure from the fire. | Tecnofire® is compatible with most fabrication methods including hand lay, vacuum bagging, pultrusion, filament winding, pre-pregging, and a variety of injection techniques. Tecnofire® is available in roll or sheets suitable for continuous or semi-continuous processes. | Tecnofire® is available in grades suitable for use with most major resin types including polyester, epoxy, vinylesters and phenolics. Thicknesses in the range of 0.5mm to 6mm have been successfully processed. The thickness selection is dependant on the fire performance required. | ||
